Artist Statement
This recent work is influenced by Neo-Expressionism, pop art, folk art and graffiti. The Southern California landscape provides a backdrop and inspiration for combining color, composition and iconic imagery. These paintings set up a relationship between imagery, color and composition, creating mixed media works with multiple storylines and conclusions.
